Safe Church

At Trinity, we hope everyone who joins us, in person or online, finds a place of welcome, care and safety. Jesus welcomed children and gave special care to people who were vulnerable, and we want to follow his example.

We take seriously our responsibility to protect children, youth and vulnerable adults in our worship, programs and community ministries. Our ministers, elders, staff and volunteers learn and follow our church’s safety policies, so that Trinity can be a place where trust is honoured.

If something has happened that worries you, please tell us. Every concern will be listened to with care and taken seriously.

Trinity Presbyterian Church is part of The Presbyterian Church in Canada and adheres to the denomination’s policies. Most importantly, Trinity is committed to fostering a safe church environment in accordance with the church’s three safety policies:

• Leading with Care

• Policy and Procedures for Addressing Harassment and Workplace Violence in the Church

• Policy for Dealing with Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment

All staff, volunteers, elders, ministers and anyone who participates in church’s programs must follow these policies. Elders, volunteers and ministers are trained on these policies regularly.

For more information about the church’s safety policies and procedures, visit The Presbyterian Church in Canada’s website.
