Our Pastors

Rev. Dr. Patricia Dutcher-Walls
Teaching Elder, Minister in Association
Dr. Pat is Minister in Association with Trinity and a Session member. She retired as Professor of Hebrew Bible and Dean of the Faculty at Vancouver School of Theology in 2021 but continues an active teaching and preaching ministry across the country, offering numerous sermons, adult education courses, retreats, workshops, and lectures.
Clergy and lay people in local churches, presbyteries and synods have participated in her Bible classes and workshops, underlining biblical texts with pencil crayons and searching out new insights of wisdom and interpretation for God’s people today.

Melanie Adams
Director of Music, Elder
A lifelong church musician, freelancer, and choral singer, Melanie became the Music Director of Trinity Presbyterian Church in November, 2022.
Since receiving two music degrees, Melanie moved to the West Coast in 1999, and to New Westminster in 2002. She is very active in Vancouver’s music scene; in addition to freelance solo performance work, she has been a member of both of the city's professional choral ensembles, the Vancouver Chamber Choir and musica intima. She also loves teaching, and operates a thriving voice studio in New Westminster.
Before the formation of Trinity, Melanie was a very active member of Knox Church and its music program, frequently singing solos, working with the Sunday School, and forming and leading the Knox Kids Choir. Following the Covid pandemic, she stepped in as interim music director for the Collaborating Churches of Knox, St. Aidan’s and Gordon, becoming the permanent music director just before the amalgamation into Trinity was completed.
